Over at tibori.com, there’s a bunch of classic game stuff rendered in the a 3D blocky way. Here’s what Onett looks like!

Kinda reminds me of that weird game called 3D Dot Heroes or whatever that looks like a fancy Legend of Zelda clone. This also makes me realize that EarthBound looks cool in so many different styles of graphics, whether its 2D, 3D, cel-shaded, blocky 3D, and such. I think the simple graphics are what make it so transformable.

I love it! Looking at it makes me almost wish my monitor wasn’t so huge and widescreen so I wouldn’t have to stretch this out of proportion to make it my wallpaper.

This reminds me… Ever heard of Metaplace? It’s basically a sandbox game where you build stuff/carve terrain, made out of countless cubes. You can build palaces, pyramids, underground tunnels, bridges, houses, statues (giant versions of videogame sprites), etc. It surprises me that no one seemingly ever did anything EarthBound-y or Mother-y in it.

This needs to be made a map for the chimera hunt game mode on Garry’s mod,although it’s not mother 3.
