Super Smash Bros. in Europe

Upsetting much?

I borrowed SSB from a friend once and Ness was the only character he hadn’t unlocked. When I asked him who that final guy was, he said, “Oh just some kid from an old SNES game. He sucks.” Heh.

And JUST when Majora’s Mask came out…

has it been released in america and japan?

Totally not fair. I hope we get it on our american virtual console soon.

It was released in Japan already. Odds are, like SMRPG, it will come to America next.

I downloaded it as soon as I saw it on the new games list, since I was such a fan of the other two Smash games. It’s more basic, but I wasn’t excpecting anything totally amazing. I unlocked Ness today, and he’s kind of more awkward to control than in Melee or Brawl. And his voice is different. =)

I just used a nintendo points card and all. Dammit I need more money!

Finally!!! It’s totally fair that Europe gets this one before NA. You guys always get everything before Europe with some exceptions… like Majora’s Mask and SMRPG. I think that’s because Nintendo is making it up to us. Still, I gotta unlock Ness!!!

Nice. I just downloaded Majora’s Mask here in the U.S. I guess I’ll be saving the other 1000 points for when this one comes here.

I wonder why Europe is getting these highly-requested VC games first.

I’m not complaining – I have the cartridges for the three I can think of – but I wonder what the reasoning is.

Yeah… it’s not fair that Europe gets Super Smash Bros. before us. I mean, Earthbound never being released in Europe was fair. But them getting a 10 year old game that has Ness as an unlockable character on Virtual console? Outrage!

Well most of the time Europe gets tossed aside when it comes to games, like with EarthBound and SMRPG. And look at Brawl! We didn’t get that ’til June! Perhaps Nintendo is trying to make it up to us. It’s about time is all I can say…

But I seriously doubt that a company would make business decisions based on something like that. Recently Nintendo has been shafting Europe a little less (Rosy Rupeeland, Disaster), so I wonder if this “VC kindness” is connected to NoE having a better localization record.

How to unlock Ness in Smash:
Finish 1P Mode (Classic Mode in later games) with 3 lives on Normal difficulty (no continues). Defeat Ness at the end.

I just unlocked him and he’s awesome!!! Now with a buddy we can have an EarthBound battle!!!

I lol’d.

Needs more north america… Lest I be forced to give them a nice FALCON PUNCH!!!

Well you all can play Brawl at least, we had to make due for 5 months! With only Ness and no Lucas T-T

Look, I’m 99.9% positive SSB WILL come to American VC in a month or so. The chain is always like this for good VC games:

Japan->Europe/Australia->America

It always starts in Japan and slowly moves west to America.

What war exactly and the UK doesn’t suck! And what war? besides, this is getting off subject. Too bad this is the only game where Ness is considered “Top Tier”

Too bad Europe didn’t get EarthBound.

Yeah, hopefully it will either:
a)Make it on the VC (Least Likely) or
b) Get a DS/Wii Remake.

They deserve to get this game first. Besides, we’ll get it before too long. In the meantime we can quench our thirst for Smash Bros. by playing Brawl or Melee or something.

You right, Someone Else. I unlocked it when I downloaded the SSB from a ROM and then traslated to my Wii. If you want the methods then search it on Internet. Its easy.
