You know a mother's caring when she can do that. And yes, when talking to Ness on the phone she said she had to do something else, but wouldn't the place be busier with Ness gone 24/7? And one last thing, During the fight with Giygas, when she prays, it proves something: Nothing's stronger than a mother's love.. AND, that's also one reason I think the series is known as the "MOTHER" series..
