Weekly Round-Up #9

March 14th, 2009 | Weekly Round-Up

Another week down. They just fly by now.

This week was a strange one, there were a lot of video updates. I don’t want to become too dependent on videos, but the ones this week were all pretty cool and varied enough that it was okay. Videos are cool and all, but I also want to start showcasing other things more often, like especially cool fan art and music and other stuff. That plus all the game-related info will make this place really good. At least that’s my hope

I also changed some stuff on the site a bit. The biggest thing is the Articles/Interviews thing on the topbar. I plan to organize and add a few more sections (and content for them) in the next few weeks

I’m not super-powered enough to keep up with every single thing that happens in the EarthBound community, so if you’ve done something cool or if you know of something cool that belongs here, let me know!

What’s Up With Itoi

I suck and haven’t really paid too much attention this week. I would skim his site every night but I was too busy/lazy to jot down any notes. I must rectify this. There was nothing EarthBound-related at least.

Upcoming Stuff

My visions of the future are blurry. I think we might see some more EarthBound restauranty stuff, possibly another M2EB update, and we’ll start looking at some hacks for EarthBound. Plus all the usual stuff.

Not much to say, very very busy weekend so I’ll keep it short. It’s cool seeing EB Central grow like this, I wasn’t sure if it’d get off the ground or not. I’m only one guy though, so if you have any news or suggestions of cool stuff that might be worth an update, let me know so we can keep the updates flowing

Yeah, I dunno what was up with that. It was funny so I posted it.

For like 2 months there was a Mother 2 cart on eBay but the picture was of Street Fighter 2 instead. I couldn’t tell which game they were actually selling. I guess power seller-type people make those mistakes often.

So just out of curiosity, Mato, do you own any Mother merchandise besides EB and the Mother 3 LE? And do you have the box and such for EB?

My merch collection isn’t that big. So far I think the most impressive collection I’ve seen is here.

If I were super rich I’d get more merchandise, but most of the stuff I have I got just because I’ve been involved with this stuff for so long

Hi could you maybe start a section on the Rule 34 segment of the MOTHER series’s fan community? There’s a lot of very well-drawn pornography that’d certainly draw more hits, metaphorically and literally.
